Our Newest Team Rider: Carla Herrera

Ocean Rodeo Sports Inc. Is proud to announce its newest addition to our roster of team riders, Carla Herrera. Carla brings utmost excitement, innovation, and is a leader who wants more women to be involved in the sport of kiteboarding.

Carla is coming into this Global Kitesports Association (GKA) World Tour poised to make noise having finished 4th overall for the past two years, and 7th in the Spain Kiteboarding League’s Strapless division (1st amongst Women). This year, Carla is aiming for the top of the podium with an Ocean Rodeo no excuses attitude.

Carla will be riding on Next Gen Ocean Rodeo Kites (specifically the Roam and Prodigy) for the remainder of the GKA World Tour, as well as any other international events that she is able to qualify for and make. To compliment this she will be using our Ocean Rodeo back line trim bar - The Stick Shift.
Trying out the kites for only a couple of sessions Carla was amazed at the performance, ease of use, and ability to unlock her full potential ahead of the GKA event this week in Dakhla, Morocco. In combination with our innovative Stick Shift she has everything she needs to focus on her performance over the need to focus on her equipment.

“I met Carla at the first stop of the GKA tour in Cape Verde this past February and was impressed with her riding style and interest to help us step our game with women specific equipment.

Carla is an amazing addition to our Pro Team, and will also be a great provider of insight as Ocean Rodeo continues to develop new equipment with women riders in mind as we have always strived to do as a rider owned company.”

- Richard Myerscough, CEO

From all of us here, we are proud to welcome Carla Herrera into the Ocean Rodeo family.
