I am putting a vacuum set up together to extracting water from a surfboard. I am copying the Board Ladys setup.
https://boardlady.com/vacuum.htm
I have read that you can use too much vacuum pressure and ruin a board.
I have a 1/3 HP vacuum that pulls at 3CFM.
How do I regulate the vacuum pressure so I dont destroy the board?
What is the proper pressure? I have a gauge. Do I need a regulator Of some sort?
Am I worried about nothing?

Just lay your board with hole at the bottom and leave and any water will just run out

As Bill said, let the water drain out, it will take a few days, when it stops dripping , put a "wick" of tissue into the hole , this will wick the remaining water out,
Good idea to drill a small hole in the opposite side to the leak, this will allow the water to run out faster, epoxy the damage and the drill hole later.
welcome to proper Surfboards, as in Surfing !!!!

thx for the suggestions. It seems easier. Per the Board Lady,
https://boardlady.com the water will not exit the board by gravity alone. I am assuming you are stating that once you cant see the water coming out if the hole that is good enough and I should just repair it at that time.

It depends on how much time you have, keep the board inverted with the hole at the bottom for most of the time, then place the board outside in the sun with the hole uppermost, you won't get 100% out , but enough.
do the repair, and ride harder
Trust me, I've over-thought these things too many times !!.

Eva's focus was repairing big windsurfer boards. She's retired and still windsurfing and continues to "be annoyed" with kiters

Rig something up to spin the water out of the board.

This ^^^ (a centrifuge) works far better than gravity.

You need 2 holes in the board to suck water out with a vacuum pump. One hole to let air enter. You can apply full vacuum. It will suck the water out pretty quick. You’ll hear air roaring in thru the extra hole and water flying out the other.
Be careful not to suck water into your pump.
