I cancelled all other sports to not injure myself...if I get injured kiting I accept it. But not from any other sport.

I guess nobody here recognizes a cry for help when they hear one. Hope the OP is staying sane and thinking biking is doing it for him until the wind comes up again.
And just like Toby, I too limit my other activities that could see me injured to the point where I can't kite. Also, I am really good at avoiding lacerations at work this time of year. But I don't mind getting cuts in snowkite season.

"How can I miss you if you don't go away?" said I to an ex-girlfriend.

You care enough that you opened a threat just to tell us how you don't care.
Btw, big news! I heard you can do both. Kiting and biking. Some people already do it, believe it or not!
True i care...
I can advice paragliding when it’s not windy..

If plummet is enjoying mountain biking so much that he doesn't miss kiting, then more power to him. The mountain biking (and his new bike) must be a ton of fun for him. There are lots of ways to go through life and, as long as he's outside doing an activity that makes him happy and keeps him healthy and fit, I'm all for it.

I haven't been out in 18 hours and I'm getting rages. Plus rain in the forecast for at least two days.

The longer the break due to injury or business travel, the less inclined I feel about getting back on the water. One on the water, I cannot wait for my next session.

Thanks for the concern and lack of concern!. Argh. Ill be back at it when some sweet westerlies tie into a weekend.
I've been biking for 24 year's kiting for 14. This is the first time biking has been winning since I started kiting.
Toby, I've tried the different kiting disciplines and settled into what I like. It's now all about the conditions. Ill cherry pick the good condition and go biking for the rest.
As for risk mtb v kiting. Mtb is more liked to have minor injuries, kiting is more likely to kill you.

Ok me me Plummet.
No more cold water, rain and shitty conditions.
That’s why I moved to Brazil, because I Germany I would kite only 5 times per year.
