Have the switchy 2014 12m and considering upgrading to the 2016 12m and was wondering if there is any worthwhile differences between the two ? Read all the blurb and says its a evolution in design , is it really much faster or noticeably lighter bar pressure ? Which is what lm after Cheers

Hi
I had the 2014, now I have both the 2015 and the 2016.
I mainly kite on snow, and I am no pro at all. I do simple trix, boost high and glide with theme.
With that in mind, I personaly do not notice any differense in bar pressure, turning speed or boosting.
But the bar itself is worth buying the 2016.

I had the 2014 and now the 2016.
Fairly similar with 2016 having lower bar pressure when overpowered and flying further forward do better upwind. I like it better than the 2014.

I've had most years too.
I agree, the 2016 is very slightly more refined, but not certainly not wildly different IMHO.
I also agree the 2016 bar is fine, though there was some chatter about flagging line sticking and wearing through PU tube and other parts.
I test my flagging line from time to time, to check it runs ok, but have not flagged in years in anger.
You'd need to be flagging your kite a lot to wear the line. Maybe you have to flag, to land it every session, but even then...?
