I pump up to 9 - 10 psi every time every kite - no problems what so ever and perfect handling. i start and land kite with what feels like 3-5 psi in them -way to low for the lite to perform proberly...
pump it ip!
Same here, according to the gauge but who knows. Certainly I pump my kites up a lot harder than the locals with electric pumps do -- like trying to stand an overcooked noodle on its tip

Pressure and Diameter
...Imagine a 6 m² kite has the same LE diameter as a 14 m², for example 8%...resulting in a 11.2 cm LE diameter, drastically smaller than the 14 m² kite...
So, in your example the 6 m² LE diameter not the same as the 14 m² LE diameter.
Anyway, I learned flying a Cab 4m Switchblade kite has great control in high winds but I could bend the small LE (that was pumped very hard) when I loaded it with the big wind waves. Then I got an OR 5m Storm with a big LE and problem
solved. For the most part material properties, system controls, etc... don't scale linearly, best to point design the kite.

North always recommended 6psi and it did seem to help the turning of those old loaded 5 line kites. I personally prefer around 8psi. Last weekend I went out in 35+ knots on a 6m and the kite was jellyfishing; I should have gone higher.

I'm sure someone will eventually invent an integrated kite gauge, maybe a blow off valve when max psi is reached.
