I agree that a healthy dose of skepticism is warranted in every aspect of life these days. But I don't think Cameron and Dimitri have made any attempt to hide the fact that Cameron races on the Ozone Edge. In fact, Dimitri had one of Cameron's Ozone kites listed for sale on this forum a month or so ago, and clearly specified that it was the kite that earned Cameron some first place finishes in major international races.

Does woo post a list of kites used to make the highest jumps? That might be helpful....
That does not prove much. People can use other kites IRL and report their sponsor gear..
For example Cameron M. twin-tip races with Ozone-gear on pump kite class but never mention that out loud but you can see it on videos (latest today "wake up call" with good humour about after school food). He's Epic-affiliated to my belief. He might do his Woo leaderboard jump with same Edge and report it as Epic-kite jump.
I am not saying that he or anyone is doing it but Woo itself gives that possibility and you are dealing with marketing "mental image" (<= don't know if it is correct english term) to sell more. Same goes with Woo's reporting of locations and the fact that you cannot really see jump track if Woo reports jump at all or some glitch.
I think it doesn't matter. Some might do that, sure. You can also say that Woo isn't so accurate anyway. But if you get "enough" data, it will give an indication I think.

Thanks so much for your responses. OK -I'm over the woo thing. Back to topic - I think I have narrowed down to a Switch Nitro/Element or a North Rebel(2018). Thoughts? Someone also said that height and hangtime were probably not going to come from the same kite. So if I had to choose, I would lean towards hangtime.

If you’re after hangtime and height then FS Soul is what you need! Forget about it being cheap though! Otherwise I’d think Naish Pivot from the last couple of years would be a good option.

Contrary to the earlier comment, you absolutely can get both height and hangtime from the same kite. Of the two kites you named, the Rebel would be the better choice for those two characteristics, IMHO.

Yes, but not on a price/performance basis.

Funny to find Core kites mentioned in this affordable kite thread....
Shows how the kiters brain works... if an article performs the best it may cost way more.
Penny for performance it does not have to make sense ...
