Nick strikes me as one of those rare athletes who doesn't take himself too seriously but is still one of the best in the style of big air. Humility, talent, and an all-around great guy. Im thinking he will probably end up with North Technology Group. Only time will tell. Wishing him all the best and whoever he goes with he will bring great things.
Yeah he does seem super nice for sure.

Poor Cab users. Maybe Naish is going to start making good kites then? Less brick and more flying thing.

Wonder what he is going to ride in the mean time. I suppose he can still ride his Cabs for now but if he joins the new North, they don't have any kites out yet AFAIK? Not good for his KOTA chances in 4.5 months.

I am sure he can buy the gear he needs for KOTA if he doesn't have anything yet.
Or stay with the Cabs.

Another also very valuable team rider is Lewis Crathern.
His riding, his coaching and his promotions in schools and universities are excellent.
Totally agree. A home town hero.

Used to live 1min from Goring Gap. Sadly 20 years too early. Only trend when I was there was CB Radio (yikees) and OAPs walking West Highland Terriers on the beach....

It's like musical chairs.

Next up RR and NJ crash a sports car together. Or they could tease it with every kite vid. Would be quite funny.

I imagine sponsorship with kite companies and big name riders like NJ, Lewis Crathen, etc. is similar to that of other sports teams and their player lineup. You sign a contract for a length of time and when it expires, if you can't come to renewed terms with the sponsor/team, you go elsewhere. I don't think it's that big of a surprise that he left Cabrinha, but the fact that Pat Goodman went to North and there are several videos out there where NJ and PG work closely together at Cabrinha, it just makes me suspect. Pat Goodman worked a lot with NJ on the FX, so I just feel like there is probably some good chemistry there. On the other hand, I'm sure if Duotone, Naish, etc. offer the biggest $$ incentives, that's where he'll go, and can't blame him for that!

On another note - I saw NJ posted a video on Vimeo that costs $5 to watch - https://vimeo.com/ondemand/thejump/273678568
$5!? C'mon man...
