well there clearly has been a large propotional loss of youth in kiting over time, and i think that is a great shame
the lack of clear direction hasnt helped

wtf!
fighting like children, legal threats towards each other, tall poppies syndrome, $$$
ten years ago the worlds best riders could go to events and cover their costs
ten years later and some of the world best are not even showing up to events
look at germany this year, a huge advert to encourage youth into the sport and they put on a world sailing endorsed(sellouts) clown show as the main event thanks to the gka ( global kookboarding association)
the gka is industry funded in case u didnt know
im doing my thing.. i made instructional videos on an intro to freestyle kiteboarding with 100 000+ views.. no ads.. me and a friend paid for everything.. wasnt cheap. i helped encourage loads of younger riders into freestyle kiteboarding. im giving my bindings away to under 20s since i drove my ankle through my foot.
i maintain my opinion

I am also doing my thing...inspiring riders of every age.
Look what happens...stupid and envious people trying to talk bad about my achievements.
It’s just what it is...so keep doing your thing and push your way, never mind idiots.

Knew this was a LWC post from the title.
Dude, ...
And I knew instantly that you and "Adventure Logs" are Yanks using Dude all over the place on this forum (EU). You are more than welcome to start the US forum, or:
Learn your manners. Dude might be 2x older than yourself and 3x more involved in this sport.
I don't really understand using a"dude" on the Forum where everyone is way over 40ties (or 50ties, or 60ties)...Very selfish, and shortsighted term in my books.
With due respect to all parties concerned:
The most excellent word “dude” on a (kite)SURFING forum is right where it should be. It is a term of endearment that has brought watersports enthusiasts together for many decades, even (or especially) when used in the context of a disagreement.
Dude, why so heavy man, lets hit the water and shred some gnar.
Umm, you are assuming that I’m a native English speaker. Maybe even an Aussie.
I’m not either.
Hence, to me, as an European, the word dude is nothing but Americanism. Promoted by today’s culture. Sad really, and selfishly thinking that everyone and anyone should adapt to the community standards of spoken English.
Heavy or not, when on an International Forum, some due care or manners are applicable to the people of different background and even culture one has no clue about. Do a gesture on an International Airport in some countries might put you in jail.
Like using a “ingnorant cu.t” by AL was all too good, and not so heavy. Exactly what Toby is saying, too harsh and inappropriate by some of the keyboard warriors.

No probs downer, won't bash you for your diction. Who the hell cares where your from? We're here to talk kiting.
Got it, now you do the same. It's an international forum.
Seriously dude, your choosing to bummer over someone else's jargon on a kiteboarding forum.
Lame.

Not someone’s, yours...
Couldn’t care, this forum is still registered in Germany, EU. Not your turf.

You and your buddy AL using all your English skills to dominate. Yep, we non English speakers can’t compete with your repertoire. Just read your wording, again and again, how you write reply’s for everyone to read on this Planet.

That knife cuts both ways dude. (that means that your input here is also on the internet for all to see)
IDK what your problem is, but it's not your grasp of the english language.
You come across crystal clear.
