A few years ago I hit the fin of a large hammerhead shark while kiting between a Hatteras and Frisco in OBX. It all happened so quickly I only realized what it was as I hit it. I did not stop to check it out.

hit a few fish in Florida last time I went down there. It was pretty freaky, each time i would land a jump, fish will get scared and jump right into my chest.

How about "dead fish"? :o

In May I was on my last few tacks at our local launch lit up on a 15m having a blast and I felt something hit my calf. Looked down and saw blood everywhere. Immediately came in and I had a 2 inch deep wound and went straight to the hospital a few blocks over from our launch.

That was the beginning of our 6 month long fish kills from red tide, so I either hit a big dead catfish or a stingray got me. Hurt like a mther fker about 5 minutes after it happened. I had numbness in my hamstring at night for 3 months after that. The wound was so nasty looking it appeared something was in my leg so the Doc wrenched on my leg to get it out. Nothing came out...Did an Xray and ultrasound and didn't see any fragments in my leg. Healed up quick though which was nice. Our red tide this summer was disgusting, had some nice coffee colored water 2 weeks ago for about 9 days. Some other type of algae they said. Our water finally looks normal this week.
