Never read such a dump thread. In my opinion it is crimal from the threadstarter to convince people to quit their Job for fun.
...and at the end of the day, it is all about the money.
Even as a simple teacher, you earn enough money to spend nearly 4 month travelling the world and not having to kite your whole life the same boring flatwater Lagune.
And imagine you live near the coast you can kite also every day - Maybe not the whole year in sexy boardshorts, but who cares… some guys put shorts above their 5mm wetsuit :-)

Anyway, I think the threadstarter achieved already his Goal in generating clicks!
So let's finish this for now.

I didn't see it that way, it's just an extreme example of an incentive for people to take some risks, and venture a bit outside of their comfort zone. This doesn't apply to everyone's personal context, sure, but there's always room to tailor your life a bit more around your passions and sense of freedom, and less around having a nice car and a mansion in suburbia.

OMG, what a stupid comment.

Who said one doesn’t need to work? Me too.
Life is boring without work.

No Problem. We western richman like to share our wealthy with the poor people (brain-poor). The click was to save your income. Don't waste the money for caipirinha or cheap prostidudes. Bring it to the bank and save it for your Kids.

So humans are meant to work 90% of their lives?
I guess you assume we must have children too, and ern money to pass to them when we die?
You are exactly what the rich kids in government needed to create so they can be where they are.
Sounds brain washed to me.

Who is Talking About 90%?
Btw, if your parents would have been as egoistic as you and didn't have Kids, we unfortunately wouldn't have this Chat :-)

Don't let life control you, control your life.
Toby, poor guy, probably regret bringing up this topic by now, butchadid so here goes.....
.
I’m curious who would be making the kites and boards we use to exercise our delicious passion if the Chinese and Indian laborers who make them started saying this to themselves?
.
Not gonna sew another stitch, this sewing machine is controlling me.
.
Phuk this job.
.
I need to move from Ghanzou/Bangladesh to the Bahamas and start my water sport career.

Getting way to complex .... Toby found a nice place to live: where he can kite: used his education and smarts to start a forum associated with his passion; essentially gets paid to do it.

Love it.

I enjoy my work and use it to pay for my kites and home next to a big lake and beaches, so I can indulge in kiting after work and on weekends.
I encourage my wife to kite, cause she needs some new kites too :-)
