Wonderful video, congrats Toby!
I think both Toby and Plummet are right. If you really want something, go where it is happening... don't stay home and whine. Friends, family, community etc. will follow! Especially because if you are where you were meant to be (instead of where you were born) you will be a better person. Speaking from experience

... have to admit. I am somewhat jelious of the Peter pan life style - I wonder if I would actually be as fulfilled as what am now?. ....
Come on Plummet, you live in the 'Nak !! Any windjunkie in the know about that place dreams of living there. Yah, Bra-zill may be warmer and have more babes in bikinis but the waves, man the waves in the 'Nak
Hahaha yeah. I am in my own personal Nirvana too. So I can't complain!

So I am in both camps, I need some financial security for when I get old and have to take care of my family and kids now. BUT and this is a big BUT I see my old man who from the age of about 58 hasn't been out of pain because of damaged hips. he has walked with a limp for so long now even though he has two new hips his gait is fucked and thus he still has pain.

I've had friends in their 30's have cancer, friends with pain from arthritis from their 20's, friends die from drug overdoses and I have friends now who are alcoholics. f*** if I'm going to wait until I retire to enjoy myself, f*** that completely. I live close to the mountains now, I go there as often as I can to instil in my kids the sense of freedom it has given me. Kiting when I can but now for the winter, I'll be snowboarding/skiing/Hiking every weekend and booking midweek powder days off.

I work out and stretch almost every day, to move the body, to try and make sure I don't seize up and become old, too fat, too quickly.

Am I Shaun White, clearly not but in my head, I think I am :D

My guess, because he is from NZ and also those rocks on the beach look much like volcano rocks; He is living somewhere in Taranaki (='Nak?).
