TBH I do not see this really taking off. NOt to be negative but simply due to the fact this only works if people feedback which do not benefit from it. It's a nice idea but in reality there is no incentive to do this.

Hi Kitemenn,
Thanks for the feedback. You are correct, the app depends on users’ reports. It’ll only work if users report. We’ve included some in-app incentives to report (KiteSpy levels, badges, spot leader boards) to make it fun. We’ll be adding more social features soon. The app is already working in Tarifa and it has replaced multiple whatsapp/facebook groups the locals used. Now anyone visiting Tarifa can kite like a local. We hope to do the same everywhere.
I see in you are in the Netherlands. We have some users reporting there!
Cheers

with my 185lb, I could be riding 10m kite in 9kt or in 30kt..
Why would you care what sizes others ride?

Hi Deniska,
You are right, this will vary according to riding preferences, board type and so on (btw we’ll add board type soon). I’ve been in multiple kiting facebook/whatsapp/etc groups in different countries and locations and weight + kite size have always been the standard way of sharing wind conditions. With a couple of reports we can calculate the average that in most cases is about right. On another note we’ll add option to change to LB from KG soon
Happy riding!
