Soul is not a tool for everything, and in smaller sizes like 10m and smaller, Soul is way way less exciting than in bigger sizes like 12m and above. Just by reading this, all riders ARE on bigger sizes. Since edt did not really specify the sizes, we can argue forever

I do not know any rider at my local with a bigger foil than 13m. There is almost no market for it here.

flysurfer soul is the most overrated kite ...you cannot expect the performance of a higher aspect wing like sonic 2 or VMG from a low aspect kite ...not that people didn't know how to make a fat foil before ..no one thought so many foil beginners would buy it...presenting Soul or Hyperlink as a technological wonder is bit silly

I don't know why anyone would exclusively ride high aspect kites. I have a few, they are nice for racing and upwind, but I'm not always racing.

Haha don’t blame the kite for that, blame me for being a complete novice with foil kites, one of my first sessions with it.

Once again, talking out of your ass. Have you ridden a smaller sized Soul? No? Then how do you know?? I have a Soul 8m and it's a fantastic kite. Try a power kiteloop, the surge is addicting. I'm out hydrofoiling on it while others are hf on 12 inflatables. The range is fantastic and depower is endless. Downunder, you have tried to bash on every aspect of this kite, from having two deflate valves to now sizing to who knows whats next. I'm not sure what's your problem or agenda is but it's pretty sad.

Funny, the rider from that pic even said the kite recovered from that. I love how people try to make conclusions out of their asses

Have you flown the Soul? I agree that the upwind slightly suffers and there is more bar pressure (I believe due to the Z line placement towards the wing tips) but the stability, cloth material, intake design, and turning speed makes up for a good amount. I'm sure the next Sonic/Speed will have all the good aspects of the Soul with a little more performance and maybe slightly less stability.

You really can't compare the hyperlink to the Soul, they're not really in the same league. I'm sure the next version of the Hyperlink will play a lot of catch up.
