Have decided to get rid of my 2001 Black Tip 12.2 (16.5) as it has seen some serious abuse having learnt with it.
Am looking to downsize to one of the above kites (14m) but not sure which kite to get.
It will go with my F-one TT 175.
I can go in and out and almost stop before I hit the beach (if anyone saw my last post!)
Cheers

Hi Guy
Re: I can go in and out and almost stop before I hit the beach (if anyone saw my last post!)
Unless you're kiding I'd keep your old kite because it sounds like it's in for some more punishment.

If you really want to change think about all the second hand goodies that are on the market now with all the new stuff coming out.
Obviously check you're not buying worn old junk.
The 2002 kites were mostly great kites and you should be able to find almost new kites for about half price, but if you really want a flashy new model go splash out.
New Fuel sounds good, don't know about the others.
Hang loose.

I agree with Dwight.... The Black Tip is more an advanced kite.... intermediate kites like the AERO are more forgiving and you'll crash them less often..... and when you do crash them you can relaunch them easier.... Never used the TORO but it seems to be aimed at the same market as the AERO... they are said to be very good kites....

Buy which ever brand has your favourite colours/graphics, and fits your budget!
(Get a 12m mid aspect kite)

I agree with aklbob... don't get anything too radicial..... the added lift of a high AR kite is only gonna make it more brutal when you mess up....

Lower AR kites fall less, relaunch easier and last longer.....

The Fuel for 2003 is a bit higher aspect than the 2002 kite, you might want to look into the Slingshot GTO which is their lower aspect ratio kite.
