ARX, Aero & R3

I learnt on an Naish Aero, Is an ARX or R3 a good purchase for a semi beginner?

I'd appreciate your wisdom!

The Aero is a good kite. Stick with it.

The R3 might be a step down (but I don't really know this kite).

The ARX is a higher aspect ratio kite which means it can point a bit higher but it is also a bit harder to relaunch. The ARX is now discontinued so you might get a good deal on one.

But my recommendation to you would be to stick with the Aero.

dont buy an ARX they all get messed up real quick. R3 have thew same problem. I found out the hard way with both kites. BUT Naish have gone a long way to mending the problems on the new kites. stick with chris's advice and go AERO!

Stick with Aero and when ready to experience the ultimate air, go to X2.

I totally agree!! The AERO is an awesome kite... stick with it.... get the X2 as your advanced kite later on..... or whatever new jumping machine Naish has out then.

I've had a couple of sessions on a R3 -9m, 4 lined, good for learning, and not too quick, but very poor lift and apparent wind generation. Better off buying a polyfuse made Aero!
