And that makes a difference how? you are typing in a user name and password, and any decent firewall will register the pages you go to, not whether you're a member.

As for the slingshot comments, I don't see why he shouldn't. There have been some hefty X2 riders (and others) who have turned a forum sideways to their brands, so why shouldn't slingshot have the benefit?

Hey I'm not trying to start anything but maybe I wan't to be anonymous. I'm not a dealer or even ride ONE brand. I just don't want to give an email address out etc. that's all.

Wind range: The X2 16 and the Rhino 14 have a similar wind range. The Aero 16 has a wide range too, much wider than last year but not as much as these other two. The Rhino can become a handful in strong winds if you do not have the technique and/or a good tiny board.
Andoni, I don't quite understand this. Does the Rhino2 14 become overpowered before the X2 16 becomes overpowered? Before you wrote that the Rhino2 14 has better low end. Do you need to generally ride a smaller board with the Rhino, through the entire range?

Thanks for an open point of view, I have been flying the X2's for about 6mths now and agree with your review between the Aero and X2. I had to adjust my riding style after switching from the Aero. The Aero is really a nice kite and I think the majority of riders will have a good experience. I flew a Rhino 12 last year and really liked it's handling quality, I look forward to riding the new Rhino 2.

Check out registration, Anonymous, you don't have let people see your mail addy. It just allows other people to see whether the 4 anonymous posts in a row (from 4 different countries apparently) happen to be from the same person.

Preferences include:Allow other users to view my Email Address. See if you can see my mail addy now...

Mission Man, I didn't mean that users could see my email. I meant that this site could send me junk or sell my email address. understand??

Regarding Slingshot...I'm not biased...or try not to be...I've flown the Naish gear as my friend is a naish rider. The Naish gear is fine. Xboy posted:

"I'm looking for new kite to replace my 2002 11.8 AB for the new season and duno whether to get 16 or 18...? I think I'm more worried about the wind range than anything else..."

Which has nothing to do with Naish. You can easily look up my moniker in the search feature of this site and see that my posts are pretty unbiased and always informative. All I said was "LOOK" at the Slingshot product since I feel its good. What's got you so worried???

By the way. I fly ARCs primarily, not Slingshot.

Xboy:
Be sure to try the Rhino2 and X2 out on YOUR board(s) before buying. Riders weight plays a big role as well. The Gaastra GXR 16.5 is by the way also very nice, but none have the range of the AB's 2002.

If and when I would replace my AB2002 11.8, I would first look at the new Wipika AMP 11.9.

I had 2 Rhino's and replaced them after only 3 months to AB's 2002. Costly (but very experiencing) move.

That report doesn't sound biased to me....

I'm glad to hear that not all kites are gonna be like the X2....

And it also reinforces my choice to stay away from X2s in the light winds.

The 12m X2 is BLOODY MARVELLOUS for 15 to 25 knots... but I'm not gonna get a big one for light winds.

The 2003 AERO's sound promising as a light and strong wind weapon... X2 for med winds...

But what inflatable kite has the most grunt in light winds??? ie low end??

The North seems to win out in this shootout but what about compared to the Slingshot??
