You can jump higher than you’ve ever jumped before without whipping the kite.
The next time you have so much insane power you can’t hold your edge to reverse the kite and jump, it’s time for a no whip “popâ€

Kite high, full power, move it back a bit as you go downwind then snap the board into a fast slashed cutback upwind and away you go. Bring kite forwards as you take you off, or just let go with back hand.

dwight,
when you're so powered up, you can pop higher than regular jumping with a smaller kite?
i've always fired the kite back as fast as i could (getting pulled over the edge, flying low), and steered it back hard, getting height by steering the kite overhead ...
insane hangtime, but landing impossible

I am assuming this is the same technique guys using for cable wakeboarding. The guys load up the line by edging and then release the edge suddenly to give themselves height.

Yes higher, with twice the hang time.
