Hey guys,
I need your expertise!
I went to the shop this afternoon and I can get one of those 2 kites used for 500$.( Airblast 11.8 2001 or Free air 14.9 2001)
Kite only but in very good shape.
I'm 180-190 lbs ride 5.1 or 6.0 and the place I'm going to as low wind, about 10-15Kts.
I also have a mach 1 18m, so what Wipi kite will fit better for that quiver?
by the way what is 11.8 and 14.9 in Naish sizes?
The kites have been in the shop for a long time and they want to get ride of them as they already received the Rhinos 2, they have been used maby twice and look new.

I saw many post of people loving their aiblast, and I think this free air is too big and will overlap the Mach 18 too much?
Which one of the 2 kites relaunch the best ?

Thks for your answers, if you know anything about the subject please wright a line as I need to take a decision tomorrow and i have no time to try them...
I know I should, but with you guys I can make and educated guess.

Good winds

well if you can get an Hydro 13.5 at hand, that's a sweet kite, one of my fav..

otherwise I would take Airblast 11.8

I think that with the AB11.8 you overlap with your Fone Mach1 18

regarding the 14.9 it is a very slow kite
and I had problems relaunch it when fall
to sea - BTW any suggestion
on making it fly faster and maybe relaunch easier ?

Neither, both are 2001 kites. Your F-one is a 2002 kite. The F-one probably covers the range of both of those kites. Newer kites have better range.

14.9=20m
11.8=16m

You must consider kites' real areas.
The AB is 16m, the freeair is 20m.
I think you have yet the right kite for 10-15 knots,so if you want you can buy a smaller one with 12m of real area,that is to say about 8,5-9m projected (i.e. wipika,takoon sizing)

This forum is so cool......
I just woke up, logged in and i already had 4 answers from a question I posted yesterday before going to sleep!!!!!!

Thanks again 'll just stick with the F-1 and put my $ on a 2003 12M kite.
No use of 2 big kites overlaping.

BTW wind as been terrible in PR the last month!
latter,
