Hello Nico,

I just sent mine in and also posted a request on a few other forums. Hope things work out. Big Bay looks pretty incredible from photos on the Net. It would be a bad thing to loose access to such a great spot.

Hi guys,

I just got the following answer from Angus:

Thanks very much for your petitions regarding the proposed hovercraft service between V & A Waterfront and Bloubergstrand. All petitions sent to us have been forwarded by registered mail to J H Neethling, Environmental consultant for Hovercape and Mr C Rudman, Manager of Urban Planning, Blaauwberg Administration, City of Cape Town.

Any further information that we receive regarding the development of this service will be forwarded to you. It would appear from reports in local newspapers that Hovercape were taken aback as to the amount of opposition that they have already received and they are currently looking into alternate launching sites.

It is great to see how much opposition this proposal is receiving and we take this opportunity to thank you once again for your input.

Angus Welch"

Great to see that things are moving. Please feel free to send some more notices or tell your friends about it!
