Thanks for the information Missionman. This accident provides an excellent reason for staying unhooked near hard objects and always using a tested kite depowering leash. The guy in Valencia died by staying connected to his kite and actually walking towards it after being lofted once. He also hit a wall. Always think about keeping yourself and bystanders safe first off. The kite can be replaced unlike the riders in Nambia and Valencia. If both were wearing helmets, fate might have been more forgiving of these errors in judgment. As it was there was zero tolerance for such errors.
