windsurfed in maui for 15 years...started kitesurfing and havn't touched my windsurfers in 3 years. Don't miss the hard landings at all.

kitesurfing is better than rippen on some poor sport that just has the bad luck not to be kitesurfing, leave the poleboards alone in 3 years who will be helping them launch their kites, anyway they are salty enough when we boost overum,and smile

In lighter winds I'd far rather be kitesurfing... but once it hits 30 knots windsurfing is better....

I've done both and are a good intermediate at both sports so I have a fair idea as to what conditions suit these sports......

Windsurfing is still better for nuking winds.....
