No seriously, if you can do it behind a speedboat can you do it behind a traction kite? Start body dragging with your feet hooked over the centre lines then when you reach a nice speed just put your feet in the water.
Bet that'd be a winner in the comps.
Hey Royce gotta new move for ya.

Be a bit of a downwinder but I wonder if you could pick up enough speed with a kite bodydragging on your back to be able to barefoot, can't remember what the min speed for barefooting behind a boat is but its a fair whack.

For trick ski which is abit smaller than this board you looking at 25-35 Kph for barefoot 35 and up, depends on your skill...

Right could you get fast enough for barefoot kitesurfing then? I know catman did 29 knots on a freestyle board. He did this in a windsurf speed run at Fuerte on a freestyle board so you could probably go much faster on a small directional. In the same run Bjorn hit 32 knots.
You'd probably be better steppin off the board then, mind you it would be pretty hairy steppin off your board onto the water at about 35 knots, get you big points in a freestyle comp though I bettcha.
