How about crowds in the summer? Augsut in Italy is off as far as I know.

How far from Grosseto (the only "city" I know on the map ?

Thanks,
Robin

Hi Robin,

Rosignano solvay is 1.5 hrs north of Grosetto. and 2.5 hrs south of Genova on the aurelia coast road.
It has a kite launch area and is fairly clear at summer. No problems. Anyone on the beach knows what its used for.

its one of the italian hot spots.

Are these colors for real?
I would swear that it is Bora Bora.
Great looking place. How about the wind conditions?
Thanks.

Hey Mac, I see that you post from somewhere in Italy. Where abouts are you? I used to be stationed in Gaeta about 8 years ago. I didn't kite at the time, but I seem to remember being annoyed by the wind when I was up working on the top of my ship. I recall that it blew one direction in the mornings, but reversed in the afternoons. I can't help but think how much fun I could have there now! Anyone over there checked that city out? It has a great wide, long beach, but gets pretty damn crowded in the summer. It's only about 45 minutes north of Napoli. That makes it a rather appealing vacation spot for the city folks. I'd be curious to see if anyone's riding there.

Ciao,

SENDIT!

Colours are all real although somewhatt influenced by local industry.

Wind is regular 10 - 15 knts in summer.

Cool posing place
