I always go to a village called Oostvoorne (30km SW from Rotterdam) It's on the beach which you can reach by car (you can even park on the beach) It has normally west winds, which is good for that spot. The sea is not that deep, about 500m till 1,5 meter or so.
The forecast for the coming days: monday 6-7 Bft and later 5 Bft. Tuesday: 4 Bft or so. You can visit http://www.waterland.net and than bulletins and than 'kust meerdaags'
Have a lot of fun and a lot of wet suits because it's freezing (maybe you can better bring your ice-skates...)

below oostvoorne you have also a lot of good places: brouwersdam, neeltje jans, vrouwenpolder, vlissingen.

Check my website for the descriptions (section "zeeland") http://www.kitesurfing-freak.com

Noordwijk Rules, spot on the North sea side!!! Super with sideshore winds, south west or north for high waves. Only the current is bad sometimes, you go then to Scheveningen!!!!

Hi,

You'll need at least a 5/3 steamer.

High winds.

Yo Madcowboy,
Are ya sure 2 come 2 the Netherlands!?! Cause it's pretty cold over here ). The seawater will be max. 10 f/degrees and airtemperature is at the moment 12 f/degrees. So you need at least above mentionned wetsuit. Personnaly I think if you're accustomed to warmer water.. it can be wise to put an shorty below your steamer. (shoes and gloves aswell). We aspect this weekend a wind from the west side with an 5 bef in strength. However the wind over here can change day by day! Places to visit&surf: Denhaag/scheveningen, Oostvoorne, Ouddorp/Brouwerdam, Noordwijk are all great beaches. Hope you will have lots and lots off wind.. If you have so do we !! Haha. Rgds, Far
