i' ve just sold my arx 13,5 and was wondering which kite to buy now:

Some people say the X2 doesn't pull so much, will it be pulling as hard as my arx???

I dunno, I also heard the X2 ain't so hot in lightwind but this evening a mate of mine was out on a 147x44 with a 16m X2 in 7-8 knots staying even, not bad eh?

44cm that's indeed a light wind killer, here (NL) people complain about the low-end of the x2's

Yeah he makes his own boards and is pretty hot in lightwind too, when he got back in the wind died to 6-7 so he stacked a couple o kites and went back out with the same board.
Needless to say I've just bought his old board of him, same as the new one but mahogany finish instead of carbon construction, a bit heavier but a real beauty.

Are you sure you want an X2?? I have been using them for a couple of month, but I wasn't impressed. The sizes up to 12sm are Ok, but the bigger sizes perform very but in light wind due to their weight

Some people pick the 14 X2 as their light wind kite in their quiver, if that are 70kg or under. The 12 can be worked in 12 knots to go upwind, the 14 can be parked in 10.

My largest X2 is the 14 and I love it!
It starts quiet early and is a lot of fun flying and jumping with it.
The 16 isn't that good.
The low end is ok, but in comnparison to the Rhino2 16.0 it doesn't have that good low end.

The 12 definately goes off... 'aklbob' goes well on his 18... you need to be well powered on these kites....

The X2 doesn't have the low end of the ARX but you can use it in more wind.

I like the 14 better than the 16 in the same wind. It's lighter and you can move it faster, Very little low end diff between 14 and 16.
