I was in Hurghada during towards end of April last year. Weather was fanatstic and I think better than Feb. as water will be colder in Feb.
Never been to Safaga but in Hurghada, you can stay by the marina where there is interesting spots or go to kitesurf location where major kitesurfers are. We spent all our time at the MArina as we were 2 and training at that time. Perfect still 70 cms depth with winds varying between 15 to 20 knots. In the morning it is windless.

Lot of people around and your girlfriend can socialize easily. At 6pm, we go to the sand bar and very nice place to sicialize and drink and drink... a nig dance in Tabasco and you're finished. Some shopping aorund. Sorry, forgot to tell you that all this is in El-Gouna in Hurghada.
We are planning to go next year same timing or this year in december.

Have fun..
Mo

i guess it's for thermic reason.
in jan and feb, the land is cold, so the thermal winds don't blow that strong.

what's about Butterfly fish in hurghada ?
I heard if you touch them with feet /they stay in the sand) you're dead in few second as a kind of stone fish.

Somebody knows about it?

Toby, have you ever been to El Naaba and do you know if it is good for kitesurfing?
