Hi all, I'm headed to San Diego this weekend and would like to know where the good spots are in the area.

Thanks,

Hi

You could try Coranado Beach if it aint banned yet , or Mission Bay has some great areas.

I was just down there a couple of months ago. I tried Mission Bay a few times. The wind is very gusty and light there. I was mostly unsuccessful in getting out on my 16 X2 there. Besides, the place is called Stinky's for a reason. It's also very crowded and a small area. I had a much better time on Coronado down near silver strand. Park at the beach, or if there's a crowd, park in the neighborhood across the street. The water is a little cool for my liking (I'm used to the warm Oahu waters), but I went in just boardshorts. I would say you would be a little happier in a shortie. Anyway, plenty of people around and are pretty friendly. Good luck!
