Yip, heavy dude and ex lift flyer... I liked the lifts, if the wind was consistent and the water wasn't too messy - i.e in ideal conditions.
Reality though, 90% of the time I struggled with both the 12.2 and 9.4 because of the aspect, just not enough low end grunt and shooting to the edge too easily.
basically I found they made slightly gusty conditions feel gustier than they needed to be!
Interestingly My FlexiFoil Storm 12m laid on top of a 9.4 Lift is very close in aspect, but it doesn't shoot around like the 9.4 did and it has more low end. when these two kites are pumped up there is noticbly more camber in the Storm - a thicker profile, I believe that this is what makes the difference in this case.
Thicker Bodied Person = Thicker Profile Kite lol
(usually lower aspect have thicker profiles - but this is changing - For example I believe a rhino2 would have a thicker profile than an x2 - or not???) - no one has rhino2's here yet, they're not available...
