Hi,

Anyone (not affiliated with Slingshot!!!) got any opinion of the Slingshot Jarvis 157?

I'm intermediate, Toro 16 (only), 80kg wet.

good board, excellent grip, nice straps, light and has a very tough base.

however the footstraps have been known to pull out, everywhere but in the states apparantly.?

Is a big slow board. It is not a light wind board, is a heavyweigh high wind board.
Lots of rocker, big and many fins. More grip than other TTs. Good pads, straps.
Very sharp rails, dangerous.
Would take some abuse, better ding resistance than a epoxi board.
A little outdated concept.

Hm, ok thanks for the comments. Maybe I'll look elsewhere.

I've been told that the majority of kiteboards come out of the same factory (Cobra??) in Thailand. Is this correct? I'm looking for an Intermediate TT for 12-15kt with the occasional 16-18kt gust.

The big companies get their boards from Cobra. Mostly epoxy stuff.

Living in Oz, why don't you look at E Boards or Underground. Slingshot boards are made in the US.
