Boarder news.

Its out this week.

Big developments have arised within Boarder.
Finally Boarder and Kiteboarder has seperated to produce Australias biggest wakeboard mag plus Australias first ever Kiteboarding only magazine.

This issue the two mags will be collated together in plastic still for the awesome $6.95 price. But next issue you will have to look on the stands for each individual mag.

The WWA worlds results.
Mel Dance interviews
Another world first with the Red Bull depth charge (50 mtrs underground slider comp.)
One last good bye to a Mate and one of the Worlds best.

Two weeks ago the first of the Kite series took place at Caloundra. Riders like Jay Bolton and Adam Wynn were just a few of the crew that put on a show that raised the eyebrows on the spectators that battled the winds and the rain.

Top wakestyle Kiteboarder Mauricio Abreau visited Australia just recently but with such a heavy schedule only managed to kite almost everyday and squeeze a few Australian Ales in each arvo. Read more about his trip next issue.

This season we see Australias First ever Pro Wakeboard Series take place. The Tour combines three already existing events To accumalate points to see who will be Australias first ever pro Tour champ. Events are Australian open - Nowra, NSW; Extreme Festival - Mulwala, Victoria; Wake Adelaide, South Australia.

The weekend just gone we saw the first round of the Dirty Dog Eyewear tour kick off in QLD. Conditions wern't the best as the strong Northerly's blew straight down the course, but that didnt stop the 40 - 50 strong competitors battle out for firts blood on this three evnet tour. All divisions were full with Greg falzon Taking honours in the Open Mens and Mel Dance in the Womens. Thanks to all sponors - Dirty Dog Eyewear, C & P Waterski, Rubber Jungle Wetsuits, Freex Clothing, Origin Wakeboards, Spun Surfboards and Red Bull energy drinks.

Also on the weekend Australias young Joshie Sanders just became 21 with the whole of Nowra and some tourists joing in Rumour has it Josh did it with style. Happy Birthday Josh.

On the event seen Sydney Olympic Regatta Centre is playing host to the Planet X summer games once again, International rider Darin Shapiro might be making a return to the Australian X games once again to take on riders like our Aussie best and kiwi Jeff Wetherill. go to for more info
