rumours, and bullshit.

as i mentioned a couple of weeks back, naish have been buying bridling line and other components off flysurfer directly for a number of months now.

i welcome any venture by lei manufacturers with huge backup into the market with foils.

but it does mean we will have to put up with naish muppets claiming they invented the foil or suchlike.

expect action from cabrinha too.

Hi Stefan,
Deadly serious as always mate, see even Simon sez (in his usual affable way) that he can confirm my top secret info.

Below you can see a stolen photo of Uncle Rob testing the new X3 foil of Hawaii.
This first appeared on the forum a few months back, erroneously credited as being the new X10 inflato, HA!!

Anyone with an incling of aerodynamic insight can see it's obviously a foil, note the extreme high AR and the incredible thin leading edge, for a super fast wing.
(Scroll down to see the pic)

OJ as always

Actually Don Montague was testing a Foil at Noordwijk (Netherlands) a little while ago. Mark Shinn even went for a ride. But the X3 is probably still an imrpoved X2 (i have seen some pics of which the owner, a naish teamrider, claimed it was the x3.)

Maybe some brands are hiring paraglider designers to develop snowkites/trainer kites?
Snowkiting seems to be on it's way up (we've all seen the wipika snowkite proto a while ago didn't we?.)

Jo Mac, my computer won't allow me to log on to Yahoo page but no worries, thanks for the effort. I have to speak with the Naish distributor today regarding other matters so I'll pry some info out of him. Cheers

Hi Stefan,
Yeah you ask them boys from Naish, but don't be surprised if they don't know anything about it, it's really top secret stuff obviously and uncle Bob is a bit embaresed as you can well imagine.

Thx Toby. Any opinion how will the Mach2 and the X3 compare?

Jido: no idea, don't even know how the Mach 2 performs.
just read a review about the Mach 2, must be a killer for air and hangtime.
But also says that it can tend to fly backwards if powered up too much. So it is very sensible to trims, also due to being so small with a high AR.I guess in that point the X3 will be better, no backflying, but same lift and hangtime, if not even better.

We will see...
