don't go to Sotavento-Gandia (south):its very gusty and side-off, very difficult conditions, but always windy. go to Corralejo (north), but it works only with north wind. Fuerteventura is not the best island for kiting if you just go for short time.

If you time it with the tide, you will have a huge beautiful lagoon at Sotevento, some information at http://www.rene-egli.com
Even if it is off-shore it´s safe to ride in the lagoon

go to correljo - nice place all the accom is quite reasonable and good food / beer in town - loads of decent surf shops too -

hire a car and either go to flagbeach which is ok but small - or el cortillo is 20 mins across the top of the island for a gorgeous beach with cross on winds and virtually no-one there ....

watch out for ben at flagb - got a dodgy deal with him on a 2nd hand kite and got my fingers burned - even after i had rented a load of stuff from him .... nevermind ....

still is a good hol destination - few good bars - ie corky's

the south is mostly a german resort -=- uk peeps usually stick to the top of the island

oh and corona is called coronita there ... best beer around ....
