The trend for 2003: ears are swept back and the tube becomes very thin.
I have my doubts about the aerodynamics of the swept back ears.
The problem with all wings is the turbulence at the tips.
The best way to get rid of the turbulence (beside wingtips) is cut-off wings like e had on 2002 models.
These swept back ears might just induct more turbulence at the tips: far more surface with turbulence.
Ofcourse the thin tube will be better than last years' thick tubes, but the cut off ears might just be a better solution.
Any aerodynimicists-physisists-wing specialists around to comment on this ?
