Hi, does anyone have information about kitesurfing in Margarita? I'm planning to go there in Febr/March, regarding the nice conditions I've heard about. Is it reallí so nice there (which is the most needed kite size)? My second problem is the news about the revolutionary situation, the fuel allocation problems (I would fly throuh the Caracas Airport). I don't know if it's safe now, I don't know whether there are other tourist as well. What do You offer me to do, please help me.
If not going to Venezuela, do you have any experiences with northern Yucatan concerning wind and partying?
Thanks a lot

Hi thomas
we are also planing to go to el yaque beginning of march. You really should try to get a direct charter to porlamar. As long as those connections are working, I think live on isla marguerita is ok. we were there already a few other times when the political situation in Venezuela was unstable, but the most noticable thing there was, that the exchange rate changed dramatically and suddenly everything on the island was 30% less expensive.
