the warrior is a faster profile kite, with more speed in turns and more pull for any given wind speed.

it also generates more vertical lift, a bit, and has wider depower 25%.

if the maniac is all you can afford get it, but if not that extra e100 really pays dividends.

What is the purpose of the Maniac then Simon ?

It sounds like the Warrior is better performing in all aspects ?
Or is it more difficult to launch, does it luff/stall easier, or ?

Normally there are advantages, if you let go of some performance (gain in stability, durability, relaunch etc.)

flysurfer quote the maniac as being more stable.

but i've not flown 'any' kite that is more stable than the warrior, they are simply rock steady in any position in any wind.

the maniac does have removable valves, so it is very suitable for use on land as it will take heavy inpacts in a way a sealed foil won't.

it's just a little less agressive and more steady than the warrior, cheaper and thats it.

i've never had a use for the maniac persoanlly, but i concede that for a total novice it would be an easier kite to get to grips with than the warrior due to it being less responsive, slower to fly.
