I heard before that there can be very cool places.
Try the "search" of the forum and type thailand. You will find many good tips and links to websites with further infos about it.

My friend kiteboards in Thailand often...as a matter of fact he is actually there right now....they have a website and it's called
kitesurfingasia.com....his name is Raam.
