I fully agree with Peter-Frank's posting of the kite sizes based on quiver quantity. I have a 8m, 12m, and 16m X2. The 16 and 12 overlap too much. So if you want only 2 kites, go with the 16m & the 10m. If I had it to do over again for a three kite quiver, I would definitely have the 18 instead of the 16m. So, in my case, I would have the 18,12,8 combo.
I'm 70kilos and ride a Slingshot Jarvis.

all guys R right. the 12 is a magic numba
tho and buying it for the first kite would have caused no such confusion. 12,18,8
now it is really 16,10

X2 needs to be sailled overpowered. The pros favourite x2 size is 16m. Underpowered x2 looks like a toy kite zig zagging it does not have a huge wind range. I would love to see blown away fly his 12m X2 on 30m lines in 25 knots. I know where you get your knickname.

Remember also that it depends on your board. With 2 boards you can increase the wind range of any kite... Wind range of 12m X2 for me seems to be about 10 - 25 knots. i'm interested to hear what the 16m X2 can get going in using a directional board....
