i have R3 11 two lines , my problem is that the kite is very slow , if i change it to 4 lines the kite will be fuster?

have you tried trimming it?

if you change the angle of attack, the kite should get faster.

but upgrading to 4 lines would work, too -
with my AR3.5 - i've noticed a bit more turning speed when upgrading...

well, you can adjust the angle of attack by moving a knot - i don't have the bridle in mind anymore - it's been too long...

but just inflate the kite and have a look at the bridle - you'll see the knots you gotta move to adjust it....


like a sail, a kite has it's most power directly at the moment before it flies backwards

i bought a 9 meter ar3.5 that has been converted to 4 lines. i also have a 7 meter ar5 that i flew all last season. i haven't been able to fly my 9 meter yet. i was just wondering how it will be compared to the ar5. obviosly it will pull harder, but i'm talking about turning, re-launching, jumping, etc.

the ar3.5:

it flies quite well, the lift is not as hard as the 2001 kites...

the upwind-performance is not as good as for example the arx, but it's enough

you know, this kite WANTS to go back into the air.
if you ever managed to relaunch a tubekite, you won't have any problem at all.

turning speed is quite ok ...


i use mine from upper 5 bft to upper 6bft ...

Whats a BFT? Is it something you eat and after 5 you need a bigger kite? Just kiding. HA.

BFT = Beaufort (wind speed measurement unit)
