KPWT 2002, RANK 16 - MARCUS DAMSELL, FLYSURFER

This should sort this thread out since it shows that there is a foil among TOP 20 on one of the tours.

Questions:

Where is the official KPWT rankings? (All of them, not just some guy plucked from the air)

How does the KPWT compare to the PKRA?

Is it true that ranking 16 on the KPWT is equivalent to ranking 200 on the PKRA?

There are about 50 riders listed on the KPWT, which is widely acknowledged as being well below the PKRA in terms of depth and quality.

Of the 50, only one (1, uno) ram boy made it into the top 50, and then at 16.

Further evidence of the inferiority of rams compared to inflats.

Keep it in mind that Damsell didn't even make it into the TOP 96 on the PKRA tour!

sq - I don't know how good marcus is (you say he's shite - I don't know?) but the foil lovers are putting him up as representative of ram air excellence.

I'm just drawing attention to the fact he didn't make it into the top 96 on the PKRA.

Maybe Marcus is not the best rider around but he is still good. Now the reason for not making it top 96 PKRA is maybe because he is not compteing much on that tour due to money etc.

I know a very good rider, better than most actually, riding LEI's but will never get on any ranking cause of sponsors and money.

Ingrid Koellbichler, No 2 KPRA 2002, will probably not be on the list next year because she will probably not participate.

Get my point...?

Need money to get up high on the rankings, same as in Formual One or any other sport.

When the Foil companies can put up as much money for riders as the BIG companies, then I think we will se changes on the rankings

For those ram lovers who think the Flysurfer Warrior is a good kite and a good entry level kite... below is a review printed in Kitesurf UK May/June 2002:

"... it is a technical kite both to set up and fly. ... in the end this is definitely not an entry level kite."

READ 1: Complex to set up and fly.
READ 2: Not an entry level kite.

I am new to kitesurfing, and I use a Flysurfer Warrior. My experience is:

READ 1: Easy to set up and fly
READ 2: It IS an entry level kite.

Maybe I am wrong, or maybe I am just an extraordinary talented guy?
