Hi.

I weigh 90Kg. I'm looking for a board between 10-25 knots. I have Psycho 12.5 and I am advanced beginner (starting to do upwind). Which one of the following will be more fun/easy and smart buy:
1. Loose AX 150.
2. Loose XX 162.

If someone ride them both, please write your impression, how they go upwind, weight, jumping performace etc...

Thanks!

Hi i have only used the ax150 but i'm 73kg and this is my best combination for the psycho 12, Since you are heavier maybe the xx is better for you. I love the ax and the xx will be great for sure. I'll have one in a few months and i'll tell you the outcome of it.

I have been told by the designers and owners of http://www.loose.it that the XX is just as good on the low end but is much better in the high end, you can control a lot more power. I have a psycho 12.5 and have used my AX 160 in 20-22 knots, and it started to be a handful. I think that the XX 162 would be better, it is a newer design, and the people i have talked to who have used it say it is an amazing board! Lighter construction and no loss in upwind sailing.

I think >150cm is too big even for your weight. People only need that kind of board when learning.
If already can go upwind nicely, you should get a smaller board, it will perform better.

I weight 75kg, I learned to go upwind in a 178*41 board, then go for a 142*37.5 (MUCH more performance) and now im thinking in buying a 140*33 because the 37.5 are becoming to much for those nice wind days.

I think board smaller than 150cm for my weight will be useful only from 15 knots and above.

Thanks everybody!

I have never riden one, but they look like crap to me. They don't wrap the rails and leave like a 1/2''
overhang of the topsheet along the edges that looks like it would take a beating if it ever came close to a rock or anything else . correct me if I'm wrong

I'm correcting you now, your wrong !!!!!!!!

These boards are great for durability, they are bullit proof.

I have sailed a few boards (including LWs, ex boards)and Lose construction is up with the most durable.Owned 2 a 160 & 140, never had a problem with either.

If you have used them ? and had a problem i'm sure dealer would sort it out for you.

Can only recommend them from a totaly indepedant point of veiw !!!!!!!!!!!!
