Hello

Is Naish AR5 15,5 and ARX 15,5 same kite or not?

I have ARX 11,5 and i think to use AR5 15,5 to low winds. Or should i get bigger kite for low winds, i weight 70 kg.

Hi Tom,

the AR5 and ARX are different.
It is the same size, but the ARX has more lift than the AR5.
On the other site the AR5 is better to relaunch from water and according to several people who had both kites the AR5 gets you going faster at the low end than the ARX.

For your weight a 15-16 sqm kite is good for low winds (minimum about 8/9 knts - also depending on the board size). Bigger kites are not as easy to steer and if a gust hits you'll be in bigger trouble.

Cheers
Toby
