Hi there!
1. Slingshot has the same adjustment possibilities on its new kites. Seems to be a new trend.
2. Those batten reinforced tips are used by North on its kites. The idea of battens i saw first on the internet as a solution for the tips of the 5-strut Wipika airblast 8.4. Wipika solved it by adding two inflatable struts. The battens seem nicer!

THis does work but if you design the tip width correctly you don't need this hook-up point, its more of a novelty. over time you truly won't switch anything on it. Its an old idea done awhile back.

with these two points you can slow down or speed up your kite.
you may choose the slow version for going big on no-wave-conditions, and the fast one for waves and so on ...
so, you get an allround-kite.
it comes with 20m lines and 7m extension-lines.
and a new bar - it's made out of carbon and the depower-shell's some kind of plastic.
the chickenloop is new,too - it always gets into a position ready to hook in - no more twisting.

as far as i've seen it, no.
and another thing:
in the techsheet it looks like the kite has an adjustable point where you can put the backline - but there are two fixed points like slingshot has them on the 2002 fuel....
