My thoughts exactly.. I got a 2001 FUEL 10m without and a new NORTH 12 with battens. I'm wondering if battens would add or subtract anything to the FUEL? It's easy enough to do.
Ryan: Maybe one of those 'designer types' could enlighten us.

A mentioned before at the a.m. topic, there is not much of a difference with the battens.
What really is a difference is to use shorter lines. Putting on my ARX 15.5 20m lines makes the kite rock! You will have a lot more fun using shorter lines with bigger kites.
And don't make the small kites too fast using shorter lines!
