maybe its because it is a long way from where you are to the server !
for me it is fast enough.
maybe your connection or something at the server didn't run on 100%.
Try again, it should work fine now !

probaly happening as the site was changed and is loading from new and not loading from your cache..

I reduced the size of my Avatar from 20k to 11k,

it looks like the server was slower today than it is now.
It creates so much traffic at the moment, maybe it is because of that.
i will have an eye on it, let me know if you experience it more often.
