i made this film and the wind was approximatively 7 knot....or less

i remember there was hervé bourré on the spot and he couldn't launch his LEI (he has a 5th line)

Look closely at the yellow flag in the video. It is hardly flapping at all. Anybody who has an instinct for the wind knows the wind is very light in that video.

I agree that the foil vs LEI debate is quite ridiculous (but fun). In any case I thought of this thread when I saw this photo on foilzone.

i know it's just "foil crap" but a guy claims to have gone 66 mph on skiis with a piece of "foil crap" called the Flysurfer Speed. That's supposed to be some kind of record even though it may be a "crappy" one. Over 100 km/hr with kite.

Yeah I know foils are sick for snow kiteing and land boarding (easy land relaunch). But when it gets to water, deff go inflatable :idea: :!: :!:
