nah you'd have to bend the top of the calf support, they do need trimming i've tried them barefoot and the back plate goes another 4cm up your leg.

Thanks SQ - Could even try quick set 2 part silicon foam filler to make a perfect custom fit. ( poured between the leg and your carbon or kevlar shell.)

RickI-
thanks for the great writeup on Elliot's visit.

I took your recommend on the "Laird" DVD. My favorite so far. No wonder it won a "Best" award for Documentary. Great stuff on Jaws and the foil board.

Hello KG,

I agree, some of the footage in "Laird", particularly for a water-junkie just leaves you staring off into space. The imagry is so fantastic in some of the sequences. Having good filming and a music score help as well. Can you imagine if someone put together a kiteboarding video along the same lines? Wow!

Hats off to Elliot, Rush, Laird, Manu, Max and all the other JAWS and big wave Hookipa riders. Those guys are incredible taking on such massive forces and pulling it off! Imagine the last time you got smashed by a five foot wave in the shorebreak. Now increase the mass, speed of impact and rotary velocity, geometrically and you may begin to approach what these guys are dealing with.

I wanted to bring this back up to toss in some more info to the recent thread on Cabrinha foilboards from a guy that actually uses these unusual boards.
