Tell me your favourite mutant board

Postby Guest » Sun Feb 23, 2003 11:57 pm

Hi folks,
are there some mutant-riders?
I like the directional style, and am looking for a good mutant board.
Which one is really working fake too?
Was thinking about maybe 150-160cm length.
Thanks,
Thisl

I have (and love) last years Naish 4'11 Mutant. (The silver one)

I think this is as big a board as you need if you have a couple of kites.

The eBoards Convert of Slingshot Morph are great boards, and more TT like in their feel.

The naish Mutant is a great board. Only problem in won't last more than three months if your doing 10m jumps with it. I'm going true my third board already. And this will be my last one. I'm looking for another mutant board out there. Anyone knows a great and strong board out there

It's a world of diffrence between the Naish 2002 Mutants and the new 2003 ones.

If you ride the 2002 4.11 today, the 2003 5.0 must be tested. Allthough 1 inch longer, it feels smaller and faster.

Yeah, I must admit my 2002 Mutant is stuffed. I am on my second one, and it now has big arse cracks on both rails, near both heels. It could snap any time.

The Mutants seem so heavy though!

I use the Naish Mutant 6'5 (165 cm), and I LOVE IT!!
This size is not for jumping, but excellent for light winds, for early planing. On the other side it can also be used in strong winds, you can push the board into the water very effectively. Edging and upwind ability (thanks to fins) is excellent. For me Naish Mutants are No1.
Concerning kites, I rather use others than Naish, but the Naish Mutant is for me the best in boards.

Regards,
kGreg
