I kited on snow all last winter, it's a blast !
You can only use bladderless kites because of the cold temperatures which cause the bladders to rapture.
Wide frozen lakes and empty fields are perfect as long as you get steady winds. You'll need only 4-5 knots to get going. Also avoid deep powder (more than 1 foot) and ice or very solid frozen snow as you'll loose all the ability to edge and you'll just slide downwind.

which kites are most suitable for snowkiting then?...what brands, sizes?
..what size for as heavy beef as me - 100kg(damned!)
May be even ideas where to get them best?
