Toby:
Regarding the Cabrinha's Black Tip hang time,IMHO I think that the fact that it opens the tips that much when you oversheet it is what makes the extra parachute effect.
This is for me the most noticeable difference with other kites I tried (AR5, ARX, Windtech Rebel). Of course line tunning have a lot to do with the performance and this is something I would like to know anybody else opinion. What I found is that if you set the back lines so that you are powered with your arms extended, when you sheet in to the fixed harness line, the kite opens and starts to jelly fish pushing you downwind and making it impossible to turn. This setting tough I find better to maximize hang time.
On the other hand if you use a less powerfull setting the bar has useless room for depowering and when you extend totally the kite stops pushing at all.
Did anybody tri this kites and has any tip to share.
See you soon
