Great shot Andreas,
Where was it taken? I quickly visited the Brazilian site but missed the image. From the looks of the squall, if it has similarities to similar systems here, it appears like it could toss out gusts well into the 50 kt. range and perhaps a tornado or two.
For guys in the northern hemisphere, spring is around the corner and for many of us, our own warmer wx squall season is about to start. Keep aware and be careful out there.

thats one of the best cold fronts i've seen, the fact it is coming in under a bed of warmer cloud means it is going to get really messy.

Watch for the pretty flufffy kind too, sometimes. This little beauty tossed out some very sudden 50 kt. gusts in Boca Raton last summer.
The KEY is local knowledge. One guys nice fluffy cloud is another areas, LOFT monster! There is a good chance you are already a wind junkie or well on the way. Do you homework on local conditions, when they come, what they look like, how to predict them and HOW TO AVOID THEM.
Another important point. Gusts on the order of 50 kts are extreme and can really ruin your day, year ... maybe even life. If you are unprepared or vulnerable a 10 kt. gust can injure you, a 20 kt. gust can really do a number on you. So, please be aware and tuned into your local weather (Wx), before and during your riding session.

Cape Hatteras '91-92?- we were just learning trading off on an f-one shadow, moments later, Enzo limped back to shore in 25+ on his 9.0,

I have seen a scene like this a few times during the summers in south carolina. Its like a blanket that looks like its a few hundred feet up that just gets pulled over the sky...crazy.

I took that picture.
It's in the site
http://www.flysurfing.com.br under the link "Buzios - Rascunhos de verão - part 4 (last picture in the page)
I took 5 pictures and "stitched" then to make a panoramic of around 180 degrees. The squal was THAT serious...but in the end there was a lot of noise but not much wind or rain.
Looks inpressive anyway
Thanks,
Tunico
